If the awesome packaging of Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray hasn’t already made you fall in love, then let me help. I have seen this little cutie sitting on the shelf at the drugstore for weeks. I finally I bought it and brought it home and,
Its the beach in a bottle.
Infused with dead sea salts and sea kelp, it tossles, texturizes, and leaves your hair smelling sweet and coconuty! Its a super effortless product, and styles your hair the same way. I am so in love with this! And its only around $6.00!
I have been going through my closet getting things ready for spring, and I really want to create a perfect spring and summer wardrobe with great pieces that wont leave my closet crammed for space. I want to narrow down each clothing type to the essentials for an easy and perfect wardrobe.
Lets start with dresses! I have narrowed it down to Three Dresses:
A Basic/ Comfy Dress: Pick a dress with a great solid color that’s also super comfy. You can’t go wrong with a basic cotton dress.
A Contrast / Patterned Dress: Something to add a little flare to your wardrobe. Pick a dress with a bold pattern or a contrast of colors. These dresses are very easy to dress up or dress down!
A Trendy Dress: And finally, a trendy dress. Pick something that’s really in right now! I have this hot pink shoulder cut out dress that I can’t wait to wear this spring.
Don’t forget accessories! Adding a statement necklace or a cute belt can add an extra touch to each one of these dresses!
Anonymous asked: Why is the best eyeshadow primer for really oily lids? I have tried loreal and two faced. My eye shadow still creases. (Oh and I don't want to break the bank)
Everyone’s skin is different, so you have to find something that works well for your skin and in this case, oily eyelids! I do have a few suggestions…
Urban Decay Primer Potion is amazing on oily eyelids and preventing creasing. They offer a travel size priced at $9.00, which is perfect for testing it out on your lids. Check it out here!
Try skipping the primer and using a cream shadow as a base instead. Maybelline Color Tattoo has amazing staying power, and works perfectly as a base under eyeshadows. Its also really inexpensive and you get a ton of product. Apply it to the lids with your finger, blend out with a fluffy brush and apply shadow!
You can try to make your own primer as well. Check out this How To video by Missglamorazzi here!
Like I said, everyone’s skin is different. So experiment and find something that works for you! Hope I could help!
Bringing home a high end product is a milestone in any makeup collectors experience. But because I love drugstore products, I thought it would be interesting and inspiring to show what one high end product could get you at the drugstore!
High End Product: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua $45.00
Revlon Lip Butter $8
Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream $7
Maybelline Age Rewind Highlighter Shade $7
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush $6
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo $6
Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express $6
Wet n Wild Mega Liquid Liner $3
Wet n Wild Mega Last Nail Polish $2
If you are a fan of Wet n Wild’s Color Icon eyeshadows, you’ll love their bronzers from the same line. I picked up the shade “Reserve your Cabana" and its just barely a bronzing shade which I love! I am a pale girl, so I cant really get away with wearing bronzer without looking like a total freak show. This shade leaves my face looking a little sun kissed (more like sun pecked!), but I can still stay true to my porcelain complexion.
It also has SPF 15, which is such a bonus. And it totally has a coconuty summer smell, but maybe that’s just me!
I am such a big fan of Taylor Swift (how awesome was her 22 music video!), so naturally I fell for her perfume Wonderstuck. The other day I saw an imitation perfume for Wonderstruck at the drugstore for only $5.99- I had to get it.
The knock off, Wonderful, is relatively similar to the much loved Wonderstuck perfume by Swift. Wonderful captures the warm and spicy scents of Wonderstuck, and the similarities are quite obvious.
Perfume changes after it hits the skin and starts to blend with the chemistry of your body. The issue I had with Wonderful is that it is very impressionable. I sprayed it both on my shirt and my wrists. The smell of the perfume on my shirt was very true to the Wonderstruck scent (warm, spicy, sweet, appley), yet the perfume I sprayed on my wrists had slightly changed to a powdery vanilla scent.
For $5.99, Wonderful is a pretty decent imitation of Wonderstruck. I wasn’t very fond of the way it smelled on my skin, but I’ll use it to spray my clothes for a sweet (and extremely inexpensive) reminder of Taylor Swift’s Wonderstrck.
There’s only a few more days till Spring! Get started now on some spring cleaning by tossing your beauty products that have hung around a little too long. Most products have a 6 month-1 year shelf life, but its good to do a little inspection every 6 months. Some things are hard to part with, but using old makeup can lead to breakouts and skin irritation. (better safe than sorry!)
Above are some of the products I just had to toss. Believe me, it was absolutely painful to let a few of them fall from my hand but it had to be done!
Look through your makeup for…
The best part is, you get to start fresh! Take a trip to the drugstore and buy some brand newies! For you new products, try to remember…
So get started on your spring cleaning! Yes there may be heartache, but think of all the new goodies you get to buy!
